As We Get To Know Each Other… You’ll Quickly Realize That I’m The Luckiest Guy On Earth. So Let’s Talk About Where I Was On December 15th 2013

I was 22 years old, living in Bricklane - London. One of the most deprived cities in the UK. 

I had no car.

I had no money.

I had no fun.

... and all I did was work my ass off on a construction site with my dad, to make ends meet. 

We lived in council (Welfare) housing, with 9 siblings in a 2 bedroom flat. 

I couldn’t travel, explore and actually live life, It was worse than a rat race, I was barely getting by, imprisoned, by my own circumstances. 

There’s a stupid myth out there..that you need to get a job, and go university to progress in life. 

This myth, indoctrinated in me by my parents, got me to exactly where I was... 

In a construction site, looking for other employment, but unable to in a crowded job market. 

You see, if you want the freedom to live the life you truly want it is almost never the answer...

I know, because I tried.

I gave it everything I had to be normal. 

To go school, work and try to survive. 

I gave it my BEST shot.

And it didn’t work.

Because I played by the rules, and societal norms - I did everything right...

I Ended Up With A Job And I Hated It…

I really disliked it because I was stuck doing something I didn't enjoy, all just to pay the bills and get by.

But deep down, I always had big dreams and goals. I wanted more out of life, you know?

Going to work every day for a job I just kind of fell into wasn't doing it for me anymore. I was done working for someone else.

By luck I stumbled across a Tony Robbins CD - and to cut a long story short - I heard him say that your life is determined by the stories that you tell yourself. 

And that's what changed everything. 

Everyone in the council estate where I grew up in, including my own family, all told themselves the same story.

"That we grew up poor, and this is life. That being rich is bad, and rich people are evil."

But I didn't want to accept that.  

I started looking for a way out.

I searched everywhere, and a few months later, I found it!

I stumbled upon this forum where a bunch of people were talking about how they could work from anywhere – whether it's hanging out at home with family or exploring the incredible world out there, whilst making millions of dollars online. 

And what was the first thing I did when I found this?... 

I went and told all my friends in the local area, and got laughed out at a crazy loon that falls for scams. Back then, the internet was the wild west. 

But F&*K it. I had nothing to lose. 

What's the worst that could happen, things stay how they are?

The possibility of making money online was such an alien thought to me, it's one of those things that you never imagined was even possible. 

Until I started speaking to some of these people, and they we're pretty awesome. Turns out, most of them we're regular folks like me.

They came from working-class families too, no rich handouts. The only difference? They we're exposed to a better way of thriving in life rather than just surviving. 

So I decided to get to work..

Until I found out about these high quality job boards in third world countries. 

You see, in countries like the Philippines, and India. The economy is not like the West, the average salary is around $200 p/m to live a normal life. However, the talent is the same if not better than the west. 

On these job boards, I'd find experts for services like website building, Facebook Advertising & most importantly for me - social media management. 

And the best thing is - They'd be able to do the exact same thing that I was charging $3k to my client for, at a fraction of the cost. 

I ended up paying my first contractor $400, she was from the Philippines and over the moon, it was more than double the monthly salary. 

And I was walking away with $2,600 in pure profits, not knowing a thing about the service.
